“Means of Vanity”

“Painting by the numbers” is not ancient wisdom.

That is a modern fashion of craft.

It’s a recent hobby for fun and games.

Ancient civilizations did not have much of a sense of humor.

So, fun and games, or, paint by the numbers, was out of focus for them.

Their focus was a serious matter for harvests, seasons, and poverty.

Ancient civilizations did not have much time for creativity.

My creative writing itself is not ancient wisdom.

The poem you’re reading right now is a modern spirituality.

Let me put it this way:

Coloring books and Egyptian pyramids do not mix.

Fashion is very pleasing.

But, religion is very grave.

Do you know a “bad artist” who makes “bad art” on purpose?

When you meet the bad artist, dump paint on him and paint his body.

That way, you can turn a “bad artist” into a new work of art!

If he argues with you, put a paintbrush in his mouth.

A bad artist can be more beautiful without his own credit.
