“When Going”
A clown walks into the bathroom with a dozen balloons.
He hangs the globes over the sink and observes some paintings.
Two kids feed some pigeons, one man dances, and a few dogs sweetly hug.
Music goes in the background during a routine of washing the hands.
Everybody soon talks about changing their jackets.
Some pizza man comes by and delivers the food.
Later more kids arrive to play sports- pong and Duck, Duck, Goose.
Groups of parents cheer for their children.
Bands of musicians remain close with their instruments and rhythm.
Patrons for this restroom yelp and shout with happiness and joy.
Does this world exist?
No.
There’s no such thing as bathroom freedom.
In reality, visitors to these facilities have to be stressed, ashamed, and dull.
Our nature doesn’t change too much.
Even if we tell people to have such an opportunity, they won’t use it.
Guys are shy, we’re in a hurry, and people get afraid while going.
You might as well have a baseball game in the closet.
It’s sad.
Then again, we have to be comfortable.
Everybody has to go to the bathroom.
We can’t decide in not ever going- so, the freedom would be an obligation.
The freedom, if any, is set for management and responsibility.
It’s mundane with strings attached.
My work of art above is only a theory.
Public works can’t be like art that much- the public doesn’t have this control.
