“The Present and the Popular”
The “present” and the “popular” are not the same words.
The present is our current moment of living.
The popular is our big audience of viewership.
Just because something happens right now, doesn’t mean it’s popular.
Just because something is popular, doesn’t mean it happens right now.
History can be so popular.
But, it’s often a description of extinct circumstances.
Reality can be so unpopular.
But, it’s often a nature of sudden living.
A history book can make reality seem so “sudden” and quick.
But, a history book acts like an illusion of time with language and words.
It takes me 2 minutes to say, “Earth is old.”
But, Earth is not 2 minutes old.
Earth is old.
But, my poem is new.
