Poem- “A Schedule”

“A Schedule”

A schedule doesn’t give time.
It lets us concern time.
We have time for a schedule when nature fits.
Calendars aren’t gravitational orbits.
Earth remains what it is.
See the clock?
The clock changes depending on nature, not depending on books.
Books are inexperienced means to history.
People get figurative.
Humanity works on a change in the works of time.
Leave the agenda on the table.
Do people look at it?
Do people really read it?
Do people know themselves from it?
Magic isn’t always guaranteed.
Hands connect with flesh according to the dramatic seconds on a clock.
Guys live until they’re dead.
A schedule doesn’t give us more time, and, it doesn’t give us less time.
Calendars aren’t pulling us into orbit or altering gravity.
Earth remains what it is.
My wristwatch can’t arrest me in orbit unless I imagine it does so.
Besides, what happens when the clock is broken?
Without any imagination, the clock would always “give” us the time.
Animals live in time, but, they don’t give us the time.
“Time is an invention.”
Maybe, but it’s not our invention.
Design is at existence including work, play, and rest.
However, a schedule doesn’t increase, decrease, or maintain planetary rotations.
“A schedule gives you more time!”
Yeah, that’s unscientific.

Movie Review, “The Wizard of Oz” (1939)

Movie Review, “The Wizard of Oz” (1939)

2 statements don’t belong together- 1) “nobody’s perfect” and 2) “absolute masterpiece”.  Which statement can I go with?  I think it’s the 2nd.  Granted there’s plot holes to consider such as the coroner not having really checked the dead witch of the east and the whistling robot who cries emotionally with no heart.  Metaphors become conflicting under the film’s presentation showcasing the great dynamics concerning brains, hearts, manes, and a home located in spacy land during a tornado storm.  Was the tornado continuing to crash into buildings while Dorothy walked on the yellow brick road?  These are plot holes- it’s a perfect, absolute example of discord at work: chaos, magic, and wicked tricks.  The monochrome film has a kind of chocolate texture to it.  History of film brings us to awareness of how different films contributed to the monochrome aspect.  Indeed, even the colorful scenes in “The Wizard of Oz” are actually still monochrome film with bouncy features of shading effects.  Actors come up and down.  The wicked witch of the west is really known to be evil due to her revenge over her dead sister; in fact, she’s evil, not so much because she’s avenging her sister’s death, but because she’s been torturing and harming the munchkins with her sister before and just herself after Dorothy’s event of the clashing house that led to the sister’s death.  In other words, the western witch wanted to avenge the eastern witch.  How could this exactly make sense?  Unfortunately we’re looking at actors who get into trouble with themselves way more than we can get ourselves into.  Artists make inanimate objects talk in fiction to arouse us for awareness when the expression is healthy, innocent, and good-natured.  To this day, “The Wizard of Oz” has a raw quality to the voicing.  I’m more literate of Wizard of Oz than of Lady Gaga.  Why?  Since I grew up with Wizard of Oz, and, I’m now 33 years old because of my birthday, and, Lady Gaga started releasing very profitable music long after I was born, there’s truly no comparison.  Not to mention that Wizard of Oz has been a vivid, conceptual fairy tale for over a century.  Dramatic effects can be viewed in abstraction.  Scarecrow walks funny, lion roars funny, robot whistles funny, and Dorothy talks funny as a little girl.  The real, actual future there was for “The Wizard of Oz” was the true nature of humanity until now; that is, the real future was not the mass of false opinions, but nature as it happened to be in existing occurrences.

Album Review, “The Fame Monster (Deluxe Edition)” by Lady Gaga

Album Review, “The Fame Monster (Deluxe Edition)” by Lady Gaga

It’s not okay.  While listening to the music my mind is going in different circles and there’s less room for error.  But, what’s to expect of a “monster”?  The album speaks in modes of procrastination that young people may find attractive; from hearing a tune, you’re pulled into a chaotic world of fashion for rehearsing and perhaps singing to.  Voices can be hard to make out.  Perpetuity gets involved, concerning her greatness in exaggeration even during really noticeable popularity.  She’s very much in isolation to her own terms- somehow, it’s believed by her that meaning and feeling become connection factors in talk and dispute although we’re sure to give an ear on some bursting thuds of sound.  Also, it does get irritating when we have to constantly get “new” earphones!  Quality is so bad on some electronics that they were never exactly new out of the box.  Listeners may have to “test” their equipment: electricity, wires, and questionable devices.  Doesn’t it seem like Lady Gaga’s best music only comes up at the end of a song?  It just feels like it to me occasionally.  Dancing to her music is possible for a lunatic because, for normal guys like me (and the rest of my family) we’re not going to twitch and prance over lyrics covering nudity and porn.  Often I find myself paralyzed as she begins to be speechless in expression; in fact, she might not even believe in herself so much- “nobody’s perfect”.  (Can we include Gaga with that cliche?)  My personal tastes vary.  Too many girls wonder so much about “boys” in my estimation at focus for concern.  The album’s photograph is easier on the head due to the objective material in photography.  With a photo, we’re just given the object and not all of that racket from looking at the mysterious gaze.  Cards can be drawn over her conduct in terms of shadows, shades, and faces.  Gearing up for the album takes some getting used to and, even then, I’m usually perking in ears towards the gothic music like a stranger interested in female clowns.  Obstacles in the way prove the source- by listening to the music, we’re engaged under imbalanced modes of relaxation until the sense of rocking can’t flow within easy grasp.  (Try typing all the lyrics by memory while dancing at the same time.)  There’s bright points of reference to the maniac’s work.  Perhaps, with enough guts, we can take it all in on the same burning passion she has against herself, and, from referring to ourselves, quit the scene and forget the past.

Poem- “Something New”

“Something New”

You attempt something new.
An old tradition doesn’t work like it used to.
However, by removing yourself from one tradition, you may return to another.
The past returns.
We deny age just for going back to it.
Children grow up into children sometimes.
Obstacles cover prejudice.
People involve rest in their work.
Even relaxation seems hard to get and keep for years to come.
Generations arrive and hesitate to leave.
Invisible moments cross us.

Food Dish Review, Peppernuts (Betty Crocker’s Version)

Food Dish Review, Peppernuts (Betty Crocker’s Version)

These peppernuts are very good!  It requires some practice with the milk, though- my current marketplace sells all-purpose flour with a vengeance and, by adding 2 tablespoons of milk to the dough prior to baking, there’s wonder at work.  Particularly the dough will stir and mix along the edge of the bowl.  At first, my peppernuts were bulky and dry; then, by adding milk, the peppernuts became abled for molding into little marbles (cookie-size).  Mom left me the Betty Crocker cookbook after her death and I’ve been sold into creativity for delicious, well-prepared dishes made in her honor.  We need spicy ingredients for peppernuts- particularly, white pepper.  White pepper can be used for white potato dishes and white pasta dishes; however, the peppernut cookies are generally brown with a few cracks over the surface.  A cookie has surface: it comes in shapes and sizes.  My peppernuts actually resemble Charlie Brown Farms’ peppermint shortbread in size although colors do vary and differ.  “Peppernuts” implies a kind of nut by sound; and, if you guess that, you’re right!  The cookies have better crunch the smaller they get and the better they’re cooked.  The Betty Crocker brand labeled this cookie as a “Christmas cookies” recipe and it can be managed with no chilling of the dough.  My dad says the cookie is okay.  At times, we may think saying and thinking are one and the same- the peppernuts, under a general focus, appear like refined nuggets when made correctly.  Obstacles in the way let me come to an understanding on what cooking means for desserts such as these and, not only are they desserts, they’re also snacks for tea.  The oven has to be set for one tray at a time due to our aluminum foil wrapping around the lower rack inside the heat.  Peppernuts need molding; nonetheless, the snickerdoodles really required more precision and accuracy under the handling of dough because of cinnamon, sugar, and lots of rolling and shaping.  I haven’t used a rolling pin for either cookie type for the holidays.  It’s difficult to tell as to the recipe’s content.  Every recipe requires a search for food and we have to taste food in order to come to a natural, unexaggerated imagination in the undertaking, since art (works of art) often confuse and blind us from reality.  (Does a monster fit in a 2-inch ball?  (Pokemon?)  No, but my peppernuts sure taste good and they’re real!)

Poem- “Objectives”

“Objectives”

Breaking may leave no treat after it.
Obstacles can give false hints.
Low shadows, low sunshine- the vision gets complicated.
My back is felt without sight upon this level.
Do I know it’s my back?
What if it’s just the chair pretending to be my back?
Danger presents us life by choice of illusion towards eventual mass.
Freedom of state isn’t anarchy.
Presence must be sensed and felt during revealing shades of grey.
Apples are only as good as the farmer.
We grow limbs under attention only when it’s professional.
I rip the cover and see a page.
Guys fall for themselves.

Poem- “Chaotic”

“Chaotic”

We’re in tracks of memory and fantasy.
Each rhymes, each sounds.
Our path begins with another end.
Humans remember objects from graduation before and after.
Illusions may have that same pause as does remembering.
Suddenly, we’ll come to realization and ignorance.
Quickly emotions saturate in motive.
Design changes.
An hour must end where it’s recognized for temporary absence.
Later we’ll have midnight and midday.
Dark is the whole in nothing bright, whole is the bright in nothing dark.
Fulfillment could mean interference.
This road goes behind me no matter where I turn.
Chaos is below the ground and over the top.
Vision keeps in.
People also find out what they’re not.
God is a shape-shifter- we find Him in various lights.
Darkness opens into finishing views from them.
Understatement crosses overstatement.
We’re under each other and over each other.
Surface and depth begin the mixture.
I’m earth: my flame burns in water.
Opposite Day is so repetitive.

Videogame Review, Hot Wheels: Stunt Track Driver for the Nintendo Gameboy Pocket

Videogame Review, Hot Wheels: Stunt Track Driver for the Nintendo Gameboy Pocket

It’s a Peter Pan influence.  Of course, the racing game can be played blindfolded when I’m very good at it.  2D presents us with interesting visuals- in particular, we’re often looking in the wrong direction because the direction we’re looking in isn’t where the character is going.  No!  The road ahead isn’t visible.  We’re talking about kid toys which are placed on tracks in different house locations as fun is to be had; however, the Gameboy Pocket is, in my official estimation, the worst original Gameboy from Nintendo you could use for Hot Wheels- the screen is off-color, the dot matrix technology doesn’t have as great of greys, and, the buttons are too small.  It’s actually rather disappointing!  Maybe the Gameboy Pocket is better for a toddler or some really small child.  Then again, the very first Gameboy was already small to begin with!  You probably think I’m shouting out loud.  I’m not.  While it’s true the grey visuals look a tad bit sharper, it’s also true that every dynamic is downplayed by the Gameboy Pocket.  It’s partly due to the screen, it’s partly due to the battery output, it’s partly due to the button layout; etc.  As I’ve said before in other reviews for this same Gameboy game the challenge is pretty darn limited since the missions are nothing more than small drifts of a specific concept: toys on wheels, toys on little ramps.  Once you’ve memorized all the tracks we don’t have much of a game left.  Although I’m a reviewer, there’s 3 kinds of experience I can’t now have with Hot Wheels on Gameboy Pocket- 1) playing the portable with a kid’s hands; 2) playing the portable with a kid’s ears; 3) playing the portable with a kid’s eyes.  Those 3 factors are very important!  Videogame companies may or may not want to test out games with young players.  On one hand, a young player is fresh; on the other hand, a young player is kind of dull and not so smart.  Arrogance, by definition, is a prevaricator or an overextension of authority- kids sometimes love being quite lame and silly.  But I’m not sure if it’s exactly “love”.  Cars fly in the air or even fall with styles of different types- there’s front flips, back flips, and side-to-side flips either left or right or both.  Many players in their older years have larger hands than mine; so, if I have trouble, Hot Wheels: Stunt Track Driver might be totally impossible for them.  Hot Wheels is often geared by Mattel for beginners of insight.  Oh, yes!  As a philosopher, I don’t think it’s wise for a parent to let children do whatever they want.  Just in Sacramento in California there’s parents who are practically anarchists of management and kids end up growing up into mean, nasty villains.  Peter Pan himself as a work of fiction displayed great crimes and wild chaos.  Thus, should Hot Wheels please, it should please the good guys.  I love you kids!

Videogame Review, Venture for the Atari 2600 (w/ VCS Cartridge Adapter for the Atari 5200)

Videogame Review, Venture for the Atari 2600 (w/ VCS Cartridge Adapter for the Atari 5200)

A vulgar reviewer thinks he can qualify everything.  While people may touch everything, they can’t play everything- there has to be loss, confusion, and unidentified objects.  Humans are only the smaller gods in our complicated universe and nature itself becomes the reaching horizon of mass for ignoring or unknowing at large.  Venture can’t really be played: it’s too short, it’s too minimal, and it’s too easy for “finishing up”.  Gameplay should be able to transform ourselves into symbols for visionary work and that’s not what I’m seeing here.  This game was, and is, a cheap gimmick.  Eventually you’ll go into a room and won’t be able to escape the haunting ghost- it’s somewhere from hotspot to starting point, with disgraduation, that management doesn’t pull off all the stunts needed for great undertaking.  There’s also too much joystick and too much pause in video.  Controls transfer movements into a velocity that’s either overbearing or underdone depending on room entry, room exit, and room collections.  Dreams are related to Venture; however, there’s little to no sense for the emotional presentation made by Coleco for it.  Lights and cameras get their exchange on a disorderly mess because objects are required under impossible difficulty.  I don’t mean to be so hard.  Videogames aren’t that easy to make and, as companies have found out in the modern age, a true, good video game may have to cost more money for the quality to be presented and handled well.  (Think Mario Kart Tour, Candy Crush, etc.)  Materials need to display the obstacles for avoiding, discerning, and promoting well and Venture- from the looks of things- gives off poor objects of maneuvering within grasp for something combining ancient combat with gaming stereotypes.  Looking around takes some getting used to!  Playing with a joystick can be a delight; that’s a problem, since we also take pleasure in unchallenging tasks when interest isn’t really there and we might even wish to play a game without actually having it.  I’ve seen this behavior in critics- they’ll watch movies to hope for ending them with pleasure, they’ll read books to hope for finishing them up with “understanding” (a term abused for the lack of it).  Handling the controller (which is, ironically, the gold joystick) sooner or later resembles maneuvering more like work than play, and, the graphics in hazy format and vivid fog don’t help matters much.  The words I give are ones you’ll have to receive in earnest- I usually don’t exaggerate and real life is too harsh for most people to handle.

Sonnet- “Metal Shop” (Traditional Rhyme)

“Metal Shop”

I’d put down a blob of jiggly metal
Before arresting such liquid on wires,
Eased of the break for soda as gentle
Concerning depth above ground that expires-
My teacher leaves some bitching under find,
Across great corners surrounding a huge pipe
Particular to vision so coarse in mind
Where nobody along the edge may ripe.
Copper, aluminum, silver reveal light
During positioning near the growing heat:
Our welding fits beyond massive fight
When, by management, we destroy a seat.
Love doesn’t happen at whim towards view,
For lecture battles itself from classes through.

Poem- “In a Vacuum”

“In a Vacuum”

It’s evil to say grace over a vacuum horizon.
We must feel pleased in some degree along the good side.
Dreams should make us sense a flowing construction.
Obstacles become defined, goals transform from their plot holes.
Light fits at the skin’s burn with developing elements.
Materials soon get imaginary- our heads may sink inside.
Verdict rests with incoming data upon us.
Counting external objects leaves the familiar fingers ignored by habit.
Soon, maximized impact translates into unrevelation.

Poem- “A Dispute”

“A Dispute”

Hate can be a kind of pretending for love.
It reaches some maximum angle.
Affection can drive the rumormonger into poor sizes of dispute.
The guy’s feelings become extreme or inconsistent.
Events get the hand for manipulation.
Because of this, pretending isn’t always a good system of expression.
Love doesn’t give us something fake or self-defeating.
Obstacles in the way reveal a sight under management for trouble.
Games are abused for control, sense, and the looks of things.
Where does emotion size up in feeling?
Maximization isn’t practical let alone safe.
Plenty of fish in the sea nourish on destructive bait.
Nobody really owns the public.
Individuals get sensitive about ownership and property rights- it’s life at work.
Vision transforms, then it’s a beast from weak transformation.
Fault is only seen by involvement.
Dreams eventually flow into a channel for pushing against without reason.

Poem- “Kicking”

“Kicking”

Magic words are flowing into your eye.
Every tear, every blink is heard.
It becomes a giant orb.
The winks eventually swim along the drooping lids.
Sadness defines the very approach.
Unique events transform where thought promotes all.
Water leaks into the eye- it gets bigger, and bigger, and bigger.
A spell is put.
Further action is needed behind those curtains.
Vision is blurred from chaotic drifts.
Conditions are met, and, the magic trick does wonders.
Your eye grows: flesh, blood, and spiritual.
How does the eye ever begin to lower?
Blinking reveals the open wound.
Light fits in a good pupil.
Ongoing circumstances prove each source, each wink, each tear.
Rolling drops are smooth to touch where a finger bothers.
Miracles line the field of vision.
We enter the picture we’re made of- eye to eye, head to head.
I pour from a bucket of water above your eye and it receives the love potion.
The eye inflates, grows, and heightens by grace and interest.
Graphical means level off in perfection.
Soon, the eye comes out of your head and becomes another person.
People should meet this collective individual.
A huge gathering follows suit and breaks it open.
Falling elements drip under a living pipe.
Levels are given to stories.
Hair is raised above sea level until your faucet twists like ice.

Book Review, Poetry Magazine (March, 2017)

Book Review, Poetry Magazine (March, 2017)

I have mixed feelings for this issue of Poetry Magazine.  The requirement for my circumstances should be understood: from gazing at conflicting selections across the pages under eyesight and developing knowledge, many facts remain imaginary, particular to faith, belief, and reasons.  The best poem in this collection (I think) is our very first one behind the front cover dedicated to a past poet from the spirit of natural effects.  Then, the first official poem of the 2017 issue is probably the worst poem from such a small white book- nothing really makes sense and the words used don’t lead to a sensual, correct estimation without hard, unnecessary authorship.  Look, I’m a critic, okay?  My job is to let readers of criticism save money, time, and effort, not to give everybody trophies and honors.  We’re in an American society with classes.  At least you’ll find a variety of classes represented in the given book and so many authors come into the picture with exaggerations.  Individualism and collectivism become ordinary effects along the edge: eyes, nose, ears, mouth, and the rest.  Vocabulary to a great extent is added to the senses.  What do they say about eyes?  What do they say about nose?  What do they say about ears?  (Language keeps having the ride when it’s present.)  Obstacles in the way aren’t just dismissed or avoided; no, the poets face them with some hostility and turmoil, or, with some dignified expressions.  Rhyme can be found between the lines.  That is, we find rhyme in the depths and not so much from looking at exact page-marks.  Wild, crazy ideas get passed.  Some poets are further used to mystery by customs of ordinance provided for with crafting, finishing, and (if the boot fits) romantic gestures.  If a scholar looks at this book and says it’s not language then we can be safe to say he or she is out of line- “language” is something egotistic on levels realized or ignored for quality purposes and just the presence of vocabulary leads us to greater mental acuity while it’s right by all means.  Would any of us walk up to a poet and tell him or her that he or she doesn’t actually speak language?  How rude would that be!  Maybe if scholars would’ve believed in someone’s language more they wouldn’t be so confused and hopeless all the time.  Besides, Poetry Magazine is a work of art, right?  Every art has languages to it; so, poetry, when art, always has languages to it.  Ignore “common words” to an extent- those belong to everybody and, therefore, belong to nobody since the common words become so used they end up being unqualified for true, precise language.  We might as well say that someone who only breathes is a professional with expertise.  (By the way, equality usually isn’t a clone system.)
