Poem- “Eating and Thinking”

“Eating and Thinking”

Pica is an eating disorder.
An ill person with it begins eating things which aren’t real food.
Individuals with pica eat things like buttons, paint, clay, chalk, soil, dirt, etc.
Cats and dogs often have pica- they might eat just to fill their stomachs.
Subjects, ideas, and concepts have been labeled food for thought.
Guys who use slang have interesting particulars.
They often criticize genius, intelligence, flavor, health, and literary vocab.
You’ll hear some of them give reference to restrooms.
Many will say, “This tastes like garbage.”
Interesting!
Garbage often includes things like paint, chalk, buttons, jeans, mud, and such.
When they cuss like sailors I’m believing in their lifestyle.
Lots of guys use bad words; from these words, their lives can lead to ruin.
Animal instincts revolve on pica- what to eat, where to sleep, how to do stuff.
We’re talking about something that I would call imaginary pica.
Obviously, slang can hurt people’s feelings.
Manners involve pain, pleasure, and neutral matter.
Such vocabulary can get someone fired at a job.
Different words relate to metaphors, figurative speech, and heavy use of idioms.
When a guy says, “I’m taking out the garbage”, there’s indication of pica.
Recycling is often cursed at or loved like nobody’s business.
Cultures have shades of grey for the eating disorder.
George Carlin had imaginary pica- he joked on cats and dogs like they were him.
Also, he believed that taste and manners were abominations of language.
Me?
Well, I imagine that I have a bit of pica myself.
I’ll have empty calories, artificial colors, junk food and so on.
Sometimes we just have to eat and not worry so much on health.
