“Vegetarians and Restaurants”
Tell me if this is your situation:
You go into a restaurant.
You order the veggie burger.
The worker completes your order.
The worker gives you the veggie burger.
You eat the veggie burger.
Maybe you enjoy the veggie burger.
You should enjoy it.
But, you discover something new.
The worker gives you a veggie burger.
The worker tells you, “Have a nice day.”
But, there’s a catch!
The worker does not eat the veggie burger.
The worker never eats the veggie burger.
He does not know what the veggie burger tastes like.
And, he just gives you the veggie burger and tells you, “Have a nice day.”
This fact worries me.
I know the veggie burger should taste good.
But, if the worker does not eat the veggie burger, how does he cook it?
I don’t think that’s good business for vegetarians who visit a restaurant.
Vegetarians want good food to eat.
If the restaurant workers do not eat veggie burgers, what are they doing?
That’s a safety issue.
A worker should know the food he is serving to the customer.
This is not always possible.
But, vegetarian knowledge helps a restaurant do good service.
I already know this.
I talk to restaurant workers all the time.
It’s a big problem.
