Poem- “Our Money”

“Our Money”

Money is a community standard.

Money is not a personal creation.

Art is personal creation, not money.

You can only make money by following community standards.

The money is not exactly “yours” to keep.

Our nation has money for use within community standards.

It’s for goods and services.

Money itself is not yours to keep forever.

If you need anything from other people, you must spend the money.

Or else, you get nothing, or, you just need a specific trade-in of allowance.

You can’t wish for a price and harass someone into bargain.

For example, you can’t walk up to me with a duck and make me buy it.

I will refuse your duck and, if necessary, call the police.

The bread costs money, the milk costs money.

A house comes with the price.

You need to get food and water or else you die.

That’s why we have politics.

Money is a community standard.

We question, answer, and judge the matter for our community.
