Poem- “Private Matters”

“Private Matters”

Individualism occurs worldwide.

Japan and China have some serious amounts of individualism.

Being a painter, or a musician, or a writer, may require degrees of it.

These facts are simple enough to have awareness.

Yes, individualism can be British, but there’s other forms.

Don’t go to Hong Kong and call the residents “British”.

Every human has privacy; therefore, there’s always individualism.

Art gets very private for almost everybody.

My poetry begins and ends with a level of isolation.

So, what?

Am I a selfish, nasty, greedy person for ever having a little privacy?

Personal choice is very important.

Not to mention people need individualism for sleeping in a nap.

We can’t get rid of such privacy.

But, we can adjust to standards that are necessary for living.
