Poem- “Security for the Moment”

“Security for the Moment”

Look at the clock.
You may be sure what time it is.
The hands move back and forth when not in power.
Soon, those hands must always go forward.
A battery has its extension.
Every spring joins with a pole.
More time is passed during such a look on things.
Now don’t give an involuntary smile and say things don’t exist.
Our moments have to be analyzed for clarity of purpose.
Power flows into the system and we may crunch the numbers.
Can we leap into the future on a dear note for ignorance?
Both hands might never touch each other.
In fact, the clock isn’t pointing fingers.
Decoration surrounds the face on grandfather clock.
Vision comes to terms with a recognized sight.
Understanding is key- the ongoing numbers come from less digits.
12 is reached twice by the hour and a new meaning in time keeps coming.
Energy involves revolutions of lights, camera, and action.
Taste comes after the fact.
A moving hand reminds me of a pointed arrow.
The whole system should be directional.
Yet, there’s time and thought.
At times I just may think it’s so-so o’clock.
More ticking goes through my head.
We lose track of time at the moment some new pulse flows into us.
Pulse exists on clock and mind.
By the order of nature, change probably won’t come.
Change revolves on conflicting parts.
The clock gets wrong at some point when the battery goes out or other.
It’s true that decency is vague; however, lack of decency is also questionable.
Seconds are counted while I’m not thinking of food.
Over the seconds, I’m filling in time.
Thus, an attempt to make every full use of time is vain and pointless.
A limited time makes more sense than an unlimited plan.
Why not leave the hands where they are?
Moving them back isn’t going to bring up the past again.
Lots of poets have disorderly time schedules.
This drift won’t suit everybody but I’m not exactly a king either.
